Pigmented Foods

Pigmented foods feed the amenta nerve track and improve brain health.

The following pigmented fruits and vegetables will help replenish the pigmented loci through a chemical process also understood as neurogenesis. According to an article, "Natural Food Pigments and Colorants," by Delia Rodriguez-Amaya, "[t]he natural color of foods is due primarily to carotenoids, anthocyanins, betanin and chlorophylls..." Eating these foods increases the pigment and its corresponding nutrients in the cells which are then directed from blood stream to the spleen and sent to the loci of the brain as needed.

Consider these foods as promoters of the neurogenesis process:

Tumeric

Blueberries

Mulberries

Collard Greens

African Yams

Try to eat your fruits and vegetables raw, blanched or lightly roasted if possible to absorb more the the vitamins, minerals and nutrients.
